Founded in 1990 as a niche land conservancy undertaking complex projects, ALC often took on projects too large for small land trusts and too high-risk for national land trusts. Today we continue to nurture relationships with organizations and individuals to achieve our collective conservation goals.

ALC helps connect public natural resource agencies with on-the-ground land acquisition opportunities. We often hold options or title to land until a public agency is able to acquire the property interest.
