Harriet's Projects
Klamath Basin - Wood River, Oregon

Over the course of more than three decades of tireless conservation work, Harriet Burgess protected 480,000+ acres of wildlife habitat, working farms and ranches, parks and open space, and outdoor recreation areas, including the 7,000-acre Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area’s Sweeny Ridge, and Alaska’s Admiralty Island.

She completed literally hundreds of conservation projects while at the American Land Conservancy, including:
